Youth Mentoring Program:
This is an opportunity to mentor the teen girls in our youth group! A chance for younger women to interact with us older ones and help keep us young! It is a great opportunity to give some encouragement to some younger women-after all, who couldn't use some encouragement?
We take turns meeting with the girls every other week, so that it's only a once a month commitment. We're starting up September 4th at 7:oo in the evening at Shawna Linderoth's house.
We are going to be looking at the book "Dateable" by Lookadoo & DiMarco.
These girls are very special-if you feel moved by this, I encourage you to come be a part of it!!
PARENTS:
The dating world at this age is confusing and can be dangerous for both boys and girls in developing a lasting relationship at an older age. This book is written by Justin Lookadoo (a guy) and Hayley DiMarco (a girl) who have developed this book from their experience with kids. Justin has 10 years between a juvenile probation officer and speaker for MADD and DARE. Hayley was previous process manager for Nike and now developer and manager of Extreme for Jesus, teen books and Bibles.
The first session will be at Shawna’ house at 7:30 Sept 4th and continue every other week. We will cover one chapter a session trading off between Brooke Asbury, Beth Merendon and Joanna Johnson. September 4th is just a mingler with some discussion and handing out of books. JOIN US…IT COULD MAKE YOU DATEABLE!!!!!!!!
